As soon as we got there, Ella Maria could not wait to get in the water. She was so happy to see the beach...like she had not seen it in years (OK, with New England winters, it might as well had been years!)
We spend the afternoon there. Ella Maria played in the water, on the sand, in the water with the sand, build a castle out of sand, covered herself with sand, wash the sand off, and finally got covered with some more sand. She was sticky, sweaty, and covered with...SAND. We will be finding sand on her for the next few days. It was finally time to leave to our next adventure...and that was not easy, she was not ready to go (we would still be there if it was up to her). Finally we left, and before we could make it to our next adventure she was asleep...it was like she had gone into battle and back. The sun, the water, and lets face it...the sand took a lot out of her.
It was a great day! Summer is finally here! We can't wait for out next adventure!
